# Thomas & Betts TY25M-4 - 186mm x 4.8mm - yellow

## Yellow Ty-Rap cable tie TY25M-4: 186 x 4.8 mm, 1000 pieces from Thomas & Betts

Yellow is the colour of caution and attention, and the TY25M-4 brings that function to your cabling: a yellow tie stands out instantly among grey trunking and black cables. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for [Thomas & Betts cable ties](en/closure-materials/cable-ties/thomas-betts-cable-ties), and this yellow 186 x 4.8 mm version is popular with facilities teams and installers who follow fixed colour conventions. It closes around bundles up to 48 mm and is supplied in packs of 1000.

Like the other M types, this Ty-Rap has a stainless steel barb that presses into the polyamide 6.6 strap as you tighten it. A notch-free strap and a low-profile head give a tight, tidy finish with no protruding parts. Other colours using the same technology can be found among our [cable ties in various colours](en/closure-materials/cable-ties/cable-ties-in-various-colors).

Use yellow to highlight bundles that need extra attention, or to mark a fixed group, such as data or measurement cables, consistently throughout a building. The coloured version is not UV resistant and is intended for indoor use.

### Possible applications

- Separating data and measurement cables in trunking
- Marking bundles that need attention during maintenance
- Colour conventions within a facilities team
- Bundling wiring in equipment and panels

Need a stronger tie for the same purpose? Have a look at our [heavy duty cable ties](en/closure-materials/cable-ties/heavy-duty-tyraps). If the bundle should also carry text or a number, [cable ties with marker label](en/closure-materials/cable-ties/cable-ties-with-marker-label) are a practical addition.

## Frequently asked questions about the TY25M-4

### Why choose a yellow cable tie?

Yellow contrasts strongly with most cables and installation parts. It makes a cable group visible without labels or tape and makes colour conventions easy to follow.

### What is the benefit of the low-profile head?

The head barely protrudes, so it does not catch on clothing, tools or other cables. That helps in tight enclosures and in places where people work often.

### Is there a stronger yellow version?

Yes, the TY27M-4 is yellow with a 6.9 mm strap and a tensile strength of 534 N. Use it for heavier or thicker bundles.
