## Extra-long Thomas & Betts TYC29MX cable tie: 771 x 7.6 mm, black polyamide 12, pack of 500

Need to secure thick cable bundles, pipes or posts up to almost 23 cm in diameter with a single tie? That is what the TYC29MX is for. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for [Thomas & Betts cable ties](en/closure-materials/cable-ties/thomas-betts-cable-ties), and this 771 mm tie mainly goes to installers of solar farms, telecom sites and port facilities, where large bundles have to stay put outdoors.

The 7.6 mm strap is made of black polyamide 12. This material copes with UV light, weathering and chemicals better than standard polyamide 6.6, and absorbs less moisture. The locking is classic Ty-Rap: a 316 stainless steel barb in the head holds the strap at any position. With a bundle range of 6 to 229 mm, the TYC29MX often replaces two ties linked together. That saves installation time and gives a stronger, neater fixing. The pack of 500 suits large outdoor projects.

### Can I wrap it around a 20 cm post or pipe?

### What do I do with the long tail on smaller bundles?
