## **How to secure a tie wrap**

A tie wrap (also known as a cable tie or bundle strap) is a type of fastening material specifically designed for quickly and easily holding together, among other things, electrical cables.

Once the pointed end of the cable tie is inserted through the hole on the other side and the first ridge has been passed, it cannot be retracted. The tie wraps can be secured by hand or in combination with one of our [**cable tie tools**](en/closure-materials/cable-ties/cable-ties_pliers) . The advantage of a cable tie tool is that the cable tie can be tightened properly and the excess part can be cut off immediately.

These golden cable ties are resistant to diluted acids and oils. Additionally, they can be processed at temperatures ranging from -40 degrees Celsius to 80 degrees Celsius.
